<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retractable manual support column which has easiness of raising/lowering operation, and is light and compact. <P>SOLUTION: A base part 2 and a locking member 6 are fixed to places to be put on. A pair of projectors is fixed on a fixing table 3. The fixing table 3 and the base part 2 are connected through a link mechanism 4. The link mechanism 4 has a pair of leg members 41, 42, the lower ends of which are pivotally attached through pivotal parts 41a, 42a to the base part 2, and the upper ends of which are pivotally attached through pivotal parts 41b, 42b to a pedestal 43. A gas damper 5 pushes a rod 51 out by gas pressure and urges the link mechanism 4 to the raising direction. A lever 44 attached to the pedestal 43 is engageable with a claw 61 of the locking member 6. When both are engaged by tilting down the link mechanism 4 against the urging force of the gas damper 5, the engaging state will be maintained. On releasing the engagement, the link mechanism 4 can be turned by a slight force due to the urging force. The fixing table 3 stays in the same posture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
