A display device of a tuner equipped at an equalizer of a guitar, and a display method thereof are provided to enable a player to check a tuning state of a guitar string conveniently in a dark place by installing a backlight at a display device. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(11) includes an equalizer installed at a guitar body and displays a tuning state of a guitar string. A backlight(12) is installed at a rear plane of the LCD panel, and a controller(20) controls the LCD panel and the backlight. When a tuner is turned on, the controller turns on the backlight to emit the light of color. When a tuning operation is completed, the controller controls the backlight to emit a different color. The backlight emits an orange color when the tuner is turned on and a green color when the tuning operation of a guitar string is completed.
