PLANE LIGHT SOURCE AND LCD BACKLIGHT UNIT COMPRISING THE SAME

A planar light source device and an LCD backlight unit with the same are provided to optimize an arrangement structure and an interval of light emitting elements. A planar light source device comprises the following units. A plurality of light emitting elements(202) is arranged in a row and a column in the first matrix so that an angle(theta) satisfies 45°<= theta <= 55° having a row direction axis as a reference. The angle is made between each light emitting element and the four light emitting elements. A distance(P1) to another light emitting element satisfies 25 mm <= P1 <= 29 mm among distances to other light emitting elements adjacent to a light emitting element included in the light emitting element matrix. A distance(P2) to another light emitting element located in a column direction satisfies 34mm <= P2 <= 38 mm.
