The present invention relates to a Data Recovery Circuit for recovering data from a clocked input signal. The data recovery circuit comprises a clock recovery circuit for recovering a clock signal from the input signal, a sampling circuit for sampling the input signal using said clock signal and a decoder for decoding data encoded in the received input signal, said decoder determining a reliability of detected information encoded in the input signal. A feedback line connects the decoder to the clock recovery circuit such that the clock recovery circuit is controlled by the detected reliability.
