A sling for use with a rifle comprises a series of blocks. In use the sling can be used by the user to carry the associated rifle or can be adjusted by moving so as to encourage the blocks to interact, thereby changing its function from sling to rifle rest. The sling, only being capable of moving in one way, twists through 180 degrees so as to allow the blocks to lock together under gentle pressure, forming a rigid rest. |
