PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a variable directional antenna device that is used together with an exclusive receiver with a general-purpose receiver. SOLUTION: The variable directional antenna device 1 has an output terminal 40 which outputs a receiving signal transmitted via a coaxial cable 42 and varies the directionality, according to a directionality control signal supplied to the output terminal 40 via the coaxial cable 42. In addition, the variable directional antenna device 1 also has a change-over switch whose directionality is fixed to a prescribed direction, according to the connection of a power supply adapter 64.
