PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a training apparatus which makes it possible to check correct setup and back and follow swings in putting and visually confirm the roll of a ball. SOLUTION: A slit 2 set to the width of roughly the diameter of a golf ball is formed from the almost center part of a belt-like mat body 1 to one end in the longitudinal direction, the stripes 4 and 5 of the width adjusted to the diameter of the ball 12 are drawn in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the mat body 1 at a position where the ball 12 is placed so as to be settled at the start point part of the slit 2 on the upper surface of the mat body 1, and training is performed while confirming whether or not the face surface 11 of a head 10 is square by the stripes 4 and 5.
