<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform examination accurately by reducing differences in the way of appearance of both eye visual function examination optotypes due to differences in height of eyes to be tested as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: The optotype presentation device is provided with: a display in which respective filters of RGB are placed in a fixed direction every pixel; and a polarization optical member which is placed in front of the display, has a left eye optical area and a right eye optical area placed by turns in accordance with pixels the display has, and converts light from the display into lights of polarized axes orthogonal to one another when the lights from the display is made to pass through the respective optical areas; wherein when examining both eye visual functions, polarization filters having polarized axes coincident to the polarization axes orthogonal to one another from the polarization optical members are placed and used in front of left and right eyes of the subject. In the optotype presentation device, the displays are placed so that the respective filters of RGB every pixel are sequentially arranged in the vertical direction, whereas the respective optical areas are placed linealy extending in the vertical direction corresponding to pixels the displays have. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
