PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molding machine capable of preventing inferiority of a molded article caused by clogging of a gate and a nozzle and protecting the gate. SOLUTION: The injection molding machine is equipped with a screw arranged so as to freely rotate and move back and forth in a heating cylinder, a screw driving means for advancing the screw, a monitoring speed setting instrument for setting a monitoring speed during monitoring time in an injection starting process, a speed sensor for detecting the injection speed, and a controlling means which receives the injection speed detected by the speed sensor and the monitoring speed from the monitoring speed setting instrument, and when the injection speed during monitoring time does not reach the monitoring speed, stops the injection operation by the screw driving means.
