A cosmetic composition containing the osinchae (five pungent vegetables comprising garlic, leek, Allium monanthum, Allium tuberosum and Scilla scilloides (LINDL.) DRUCE) extract is provided to improve the safety to the skin and to enhance the recovery of the damaged skin. A cosmetic composition comprises the osinchae extract which comprises Allium monanthum, garlic, Allium tuberosum, leek and Scilla scilloides (LINDL.) DRUCE. Preferably the ratio of Allium monanthum, garlic, Allium tuberosum, leek and Scilla scilloides (LINDL.) DRUCE is 2:3:2:1.5:1.5 by weight. Preferably the osinchae extract is extracted with butylene glycol containing 30% of water.
