<p>A portable computer including a removable pointing device is provided to increase portability and convenience and enable a user to operate a cursor without moving entire pointing device by separating the pointing device from the portable computer. A first lens contacts with a user body at an upper part of a pointing device. A light source(170) irradiates light to the first lens. A sensor(180) senses the light reflected from the user body. A second lens focuses the light reflected from the user body at a lower part of the first lens. The light irradiated from the light source is reflected from the user body, is focused on the second lens, and is transferred to the sensor when the user body contacts with the first lens. When the user body moves on the first lens, the sensor generates a location change signal by detecting the received light.</p> |
