A display substrate (100) includes a color filter layer (230), an inorganic insulation layer (240) a pixel electrode (250), a gate line (GE), a data line crossing the gate line, and a thin-film transistor (TFT) electrically connected to the gate line and the data line. The color filter layer (230) is formed on the TFT. The inorganic insulation layer (240) is formed on the color filter layer (230). The inorganic insulation layer (240) has a hole (SPH) formed thereon, which exposes a portion of the color filter layer (230) above the TFT at a position where a spacer (500) is to be positioned, thereby improving the compression characteristics and the recovery rate of the display. The pixel electrode (250) is formed on the inorganic insulation layer (240).
