Method of improving the integrity and safety of an avionics system

The method involves monitoring functioning of sub-assemblies or components of an avionic system by controlling transfer function of the sub-assemblies or components in an operational mode with the help of stimuli sent to the sub-assemblies or components. The stimuli are superimposed and substituted in a momentary manner to operational input signals of the sub-assemblies, where the stimuli are local replica of received global navigation satellite system signals (12). An independent claim is also included for a device for improving integrity and safety of an avionic system.
