Disclosed is a dried gel product which is obtained by drying a gel material that is obtained by mixing a positively charged polymer electrolyte and a negatively charged polymer electrolyte. Also disclosed are a mixture containing the dried gel product as well as a pharmaceutically active ingredient or a pharmaceutical additive, an orally administrable pharmaceutical formulation prepared from such a mixture, and a method for preparing such an orally administrable pharmaceutical formulation.
