A device (1) for treating and transporting containers (2) is provided with means for gripping the containers (2) comprising at least one support element (3), defining a recess (4) able to encompass a portion of the neck of the container (2) inserted therein, and at least one engagement element (6) associated to the support element (3) and deformable elastically between a first position, in which it defines an interference with respect both to an insertion of the container (2) into the recess (4) and to an extraction from the recess (2), and a second deformed position to enable said insertion and extraction. In known devices, the means for gripping containers are complicated and delicate systems comprising pincers or other movable elements or poorly precise and reliable systems comprising parallel tracks between which the containers are held.
