SYNDICATION-BASED APPLICATION CONNECTORS

Application connectors use a syndicated format for exchanging data between platforms such as calendaring systems and other local applications and/or web-based applications. In addition, connectors may be employed to enrich data, synchronize data, or otherwise manipulate data forwarded to a platform. In another aspect, advertising is improved by permitting real-time deployment of advertisements in response to detected surges in web-based activity, and by permitting insertion of advertisements during data exchange using the application connectors above.
