<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize holding an optical fiber until the time when adhesive is set and guaranteeing against the deterioration of adhesive with time in the case of installing the optical fiber for measuring strain onto a structure to be monitored using the adhesive. SOLUTION: The method for installing optical fiber for measuring strain, in which the optical fiber for measuring strain is integrally fixed to the surface of the structure, is provided with a step in which a resin layer 15 is formed inside a gutterlike cover 1 where gaff-like projections 10 are ejected from side edges 9, a step in which the optical fiber for measuring strain 5 is inserted so as to be placed on the resin layer 15 inside the gutter-like cover 1, a step in which the rest of the inside except the resin layer 15 of the gutter-like cover 1 is filled with the adhesive, and a step in which the gaff-like projections 10 ejected from the side edges 9 of the gutter-like cover 1 are engaged to a loop plane installed on the structure.</p> |
