Left and right actuators (14) for a vehicle each have a first housing (31 ) and a second housing (32) that are joined together in the direction of the axis (L). A joint flange (31a) of the first housing (31) and a joint flange (32a) of the second housing (32) are fastened together by bolts (35) that a re equidistantly arranged on a circle centered on the axis (L). A part insta llation section for installing a stroke sensor (102) on the second housing ( 32) is provided at an intermediate position between two of the bolts (35) or at the position of any one of the bolts (35). The construction allows the s econd housing (32), on which a stroke sensor (102) is installed, to be commo nly used for left and right actuators (14) to reduce the number of parts and also allows the positions of the stroke sensors (102) of the left and right actuators (14) to be mirror-symmetrically arranged with respect to a vehicl e center plane (P).
