Bead chain comprises a spacer chain (30) and a row of beads (31). The spacer chain has a pair of parallel thin flexible strips extending along the spacer chain and a number of transverse connecting supports which are connected to the flexible strips. A row of spacer holders are arranged between the beads to separate the beads from each other. The spacer holders have a connection with the transverse connecting supports. The connection tapers and is smaller than the cross-sectional surface of the spacer holders. Preferred Features: The spacer holders are connected to a flexible bar to separate the holders into an upper holding part and a lower holding part.
