<p>The support (1) has lateral consoles (8, 9) formed as cast parts, a front transverse profile (2), a rear transverse profile (3) and bearing retainers (10, 11) for retaining each left and right wheel suspension guide. The bearing retainers are formed at the lateral consoles. The front and rear transverse profiles connect the consoles, extend parallely and are welded with the consoles in transverse-profile retainers (26, 27). Retainers (6, 18) are provided for fastening at a vehicle body. The support is made of aluminum or aluminum alloy. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a front axle support.</p> |
