PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a filler from being buried under waste toner to surely detect the amount of the waste toner, the filler detecting that a waste toner-recovering container is filled with waste toner. SOLUTION: An image-forming device is provided with: a recovering container 11 which recovers waste toner 9 generated in the device main body; a conveying member 3 which conveys the waste toner 9 in the recovering container 11; a filler 21 which contacts the waste toner 9 in the recovering container 11 and is displaced in accordance with the amount of the waste toner 9; and a sensor 22 which is connected to the filler 21 and detects that a displacement amount of the filler 21 exceeds a prescribed amount to detect the amount of the waste toner 9. The filler 21 operates with prescribed timing. The operation of the filler 21 is carried out by a push-up plate 32 provided on the conveying member 31.
