摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply earthquake resisting reinforcement not only to a ground section of a lower structure but also to an underground section. SOLUTION: This earthquake-resisting reinforcing structure 1 of a viaduct is designed to apply earthquake resisting reinforcement to the lower structure 3 of the viaduct, which is formed of a rigid frame 4 as the ground section and a foundation structure 5 of the underground section for supporting the rigid frame. The foundation structure 5 is constituted by binding a pair of foundation beams 6 and 6, which are arranged in an opposed manner along the bridge-axis direction of the viaduct, and the orthogonal foundation beams 7, which are arranged almost orthogonally to the pair of foundation beams, in a ladder shape. In the earthquake resisting reinforcing structure 1, steel sheet piles 13 and 13 are buried in the ground 14 on both the lateral sides of each of the foundation beams 6, respectively. Thus, the steel sheet piles 13 and 13 are arranged along the bridge-axis direction in two rows on both the lateral sides of each of the foundation beams 6, that is, in a total of four rows, and the heads of the steel sheet piles 13 and 13 are rigidly joined to the foundation beams 6, respectively.
