PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive induction heating type electric rice cooker having a novel inner pot of clad structure reducing the number of layers and having high performances such as high rice cooking efficiency and heating efficiency (a heat producing efficiency) by improving a saturation magnetic flux density of a part facing an induction heating means such as a work coil of the inner pot. SOLUTION: This electric rice cooker includes the inner pot for storing water and rice, a rice cooker body for extractably storing the inner pot, a lid body openably/closably covering the upper opening of the rice cooker body, and electromagnetic induction heating means for heating the inner pot by inducing an eddy current in the inner pot, wherein the inner pot consists of a two-layer or multi-layer pot at least including a metal material layer for inducing an eddy current, and the saturation magnetic flux density of the part facing the electromagnetic induction heating means is formed higher than that of the other parts.
