<p>[PROBLEMS] A compressor having a rotating shaft, a compression mechanism driven by the rotating shaft, housings for receiving the rotating shaft and the compression mechanism, and a shaft sealing device for sealing a rotating shaft penetration section of a housing, wherein the shaft sealing device has a seal lip member in sliding contact with the rotating shaft and wherein deterioration in durability of that portion of the seal lip member which is in sliding contact with the rotating shaft is suppressed. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The compressor has the rotating shaft (10), the compression mechanism (12, 24, 15) driven by the rotating shaft (10), the housings (16, 18) for receiving the rotating shaft (10) and the compression mechanism (12, 14, 15), and the shaft sealing device (19) for sealing the rotating shaft penetration section of the housing (18). The shaft sealing device (19) has the seal lip member (19b) made of fluorocarbon resin and in sliding contact with the rotating shaft (10). That portion of the rotating shaft (10) which is in sliding contact with the seal lip member (19b) is coated with fluorocarbon resin.</p> |
