<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an OCR system for reducing generation of transfer information based on incorrect information on a transactor. <P>SOLUTION: Characters written in a document are recognized and recognition character information is generated. Image data of the document is acquired, and the recognition character information is displayed on a display so as to be collated with the image data in a correctable manner. The information on a transactor contained in the recognition character information after collation is generated/registered to be used for collation, and it is determined whether the information on a transactor contained in recognition character information acquired from another document coincides with the registered information on a transactor. If coincidence is established predetermined times or more, matching information is attached to the registered information on a transactor. It is determined whether the matching information is attached to the registered information on a transactor, and if the matching information is attached, the recognition character information acquired from another document and the image data are transmitted to a collation terminal along with coincidence information.
