PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remodeling method of a toilet from a Japanese style to a Western style, in which an upper part of a Japanese-style toilet bowl is removed to create a new floor face and a Western-style toilet bowl is placed on it, for preventing the Japanese-style toilet bowl from being broken or from falling off, and for facilitating the construction work. SOLUTION: Only a front shield part 13 of the Japanese-style toilet bowl 10 is removed. Then, a drain pipe 21 is erected in a manner of communicating with a drain outlet 11 of the Japanese-style toilet bowl 10. Next, a cover member 22 is fitted in an upper part of the Japanese-style toilet bowl 10, a high-strength plate 23 is placed on it, and the level is adjusted by a bolt 24. A self-hardening material 26 is fed to the part around the high-strength plate 23 and evened. After hardening, the Western-style toilet bowl 30 is placed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
