Liquid laundry detergent compositions comprising anionic surfactant, fabr ic care agent, cationic deposition aid and performance booster are disclosed . The performance booster is chosen such that it will not react with the cat ionic deposition aid or fabric care agent to form a coacervate and/or to pre cipitate from solution. Such performance boosters may compensate for reduced cleaning efficacy of anionic surfactants and/or fabric care agents which in teract with cationic deposition aids.
