PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic refrigerant compressor certainly reducing an amount of a refrigerant dissolved in refrigerating machine oil by proving a simple and inexpensive agitating mechanism. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with: a sealed container 2; a motor 4 arranged on an upper side in the sealed container 2; a compression mechanism section 3 arranged below the motor 4 in the sealed container 2 and operated by the rotation of a rotating shaft 31 driven by the motor 4; and an oil reservoir 5 formed in the bottom part of the sealed container 2 and storing refrigerating machine oil 6. A rotating plate 8 is fixed to the other end of the rotating shaft 31, and the refrigerating machine oil 6 stored in the oil reservoir 5 is agitated by the rotation of the rotating shaft 31.
