TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND TRANSMISSION POWER CONTROL METHOD

It is possible to provide a transmission device and a transmission power control method which can accurately control the transmission power while maintaining a high-speed feedback control. A polar modulation transmission device (100) includes: an LPF (108) for shaping a waveform of an output power of a PA (103); and an ADC (109) which performs sampling of the filtering signal in the compressed mode and sampling of the filtering signal in the non-compressed mode with the same phase as the filtering signal in the compressed mode, so as to obtain power data. Thus, the sampling signals before and after the mode switching have the same phase and it is possible to acquire the sampling signal of the same condition from the filtering signal waveform before and after the mode switching. In the feedback control based on the sampling signal, even if the filtering signal has a residual fluctuation component, its affect can be ignored and it is possible to accurately estimate and control the transmission power while maintaining the high speed.
