An auxiliary locking apparatus for a door is provided to close the door without operating an indoor knob by preventing a locking function from being performed when the door is opened. An auxiliary locking apparatus for a door(2) comprises a housing(30) having a cover, a driving bar(40), a latch lever(50), a latch(60), a pawl(70), a switch and a stopper(90). The auxiliary locking apparatus is interlocked with a latch of a main locking apparatus by an indoor knob(22). The driving bar is connected to a slide bar(12) moving up/down by the indoor knob. The latch lever receives rotation thrust from a first elastic member(52) in a direction of moving the latch of the auxiliary locking apparatus forward. When the driving bar moves upward, the latch lever rotates in a direction of compressing the first elastic member to move the latch of the auxiliary locking apparatus backward. The pawl receives rotation thrust from a second elastic member(72) in a direction against the forward motion of the latch of the auxiliary locking apparatus. The pawl prevents the latch from completely moving forward. The switch moves backward by a guide surface of a pressing member provided on a striker(100) to operate the pawl such that the latch is released.
