PURPOSE: A surface coating method of an article is provided to give a metal effect on the surface of the article by forming a plating layer and plasma processing to remove foreign materials from the article. CONSTITUTION: A surface coating method of an article comprises the following steps: forming a plating layer on the surface of the article through a wet plating; plasma processing the surface of the plated article; forming a protective layer using a protecting material on the surface of the plasma processed plated article; and forming a color layer by spraying a color paint on the surface of the plasma processed plated article.
