1310778 Fastenings KUNSTSTGFF GmbH 23 Aug 1971 [25 Aug 1970] 39475/71 Heading E2B A device for releasably connecting two parts 4, 20 comprises an apertured disc 1 mountable in a circular recess in the part 20 and a pin 2 having a head 16 for engaging eccentric surfaces of spaced cams 22, 23 on the disc 1 and an abutment surface 15 which limits insertion of a flattened end part 9 in a sleeve 3 securable to the part 4 the part 9 being rotated to secure it in the sleeve and engaging a locking recess 14 in the sleeve, whereby rotation of the disc 1 displaces the pin 2 and sleeve 3 to secure the two parts 4, 20. A slot 24 is provided in the disc for insertion of a tool to rotate the disc. The part 9 fits into a rectangular recess in the sleeve which has a bore 8 for a reduced portion 10 of the pin. The pin is inserted until either face 11, 12 extends to a curved surface 13 of the sleeve the pin is then rotated through a right angle to engage the face with the surface 13 and with the locking recess 14. The fastener may be used for connecting two parts of furniture. |
