The present design relates to a disinfection unit for a water purifier which uses an ultraviolet lamp to disinfect water being purified and discharged. The present design provides a disinfection unit for a water purifier wherein a corrugated pipe, which covers the entire space between an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe, has a plurality of repeating corrugations and is arranged on the inner wall of a casing to enable water passing through the disinfection unit to be uniformly disinfected by ultraviolet rays and discharged. This disinfection unit enables water introduced through the inlet pipe to form a vortex flow by means of the corrugations in the corrugated pipe so that water is discharged after remaining in the disinfection unit for a sufficient amount of time and is thus fully disinfected, thereby significantly improving disinfection efficiency. Additionally, the shapes of the present pipes are maintained in a stable manner even though they are thinner than conventional high durability steel pipes, and manufacturing costs are thus reduced. |
