PURPOSE: A terminal server apparatus and a method for detecting drive of client in a server based computing system of a terminal environment are provided to execute an application program in a terminal device by mounting a storage device of the client terminal as a local drive. CONSTITUTION: A terminal service execution unit(131) provides a terminal service through the generation of an independent terminal sessions(137-1 to 137-N) for a terminal client(111). Based on the logical drive information of a client terminal(110), a virtual drive agent(133) judges a virtual drive qualification for the logical drive list of the client. According to the judgment results, a virtual drive generator(135) generates a virtual drive for the logical drive list.
