The vehicle has a vehicle part e.g. rear flap and/or door, movable into open and closed positions, and a sensor (9) for contactless detection of an obstacle in a detection region in which the part is movable. A controller (11) is controllably connected with an actuating device (3) such that the movement of the part is continued with reduced speed and force, stopped, reversed or restricted during detection of the obstacle. The sensor is arranged at the part so that the detection region is moved during movement of the part and runs ahead in a movement direction of the part. The sensor is formed as a distance sensor such as ultrasound sensor, radar sensor and/or infrared sensor.
