PURPOSE: An apparatus for protecting pedestrian from collision is provided to enable the collision time of a pedestrian with a hood and a windshield to be delayed by spraying compressed air when the pedestrian collides with the hood and the windshied of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for protecting pedestrian from collision comprises a sensor unit(10), an electronic control unit(20) and a driving part(30). The sensor unit is installed at a bumper. In a vehicle collision accident, the sensor unit senses the pedestrian collided with a vehicle, the collision acceleration and the collision position of the pedestrian. The electronic control unit receives the collision position value and the collision acceleration value of the pedestrian from the sensor unit. The driving part is installed at a vehicle body frame to which the inside and the hood and the windshield of the vehicle are connected. The driving part sprays compressed air by the signal transmitted from the electronic control unit.
