METHOD AND DEVICE TO CHECK RAILWAY PARALLELISM WITH RESPECT TO SAW FRAME LENGTHWISE AXIS

FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood processing industry and can be used to check railway parallelism with respect to saw frame lengthwise axis. Proposed method comprises transfer of saw frame lengthwise axis direction, said axis being defined as taut string to rails level and estimation of difference in distance from obtained point to one of the rails, at different points along the railway length. Aforesaid transfer is effected using reference triangle arranged on horizontal support and arranging triangle vertical flange along tangent line to cord. Distance from said flange to adjustable stop fixed at the point suitable for measurement is performed by indicator or slide depth gage. ^ EFFECT: higher reliability and accuracy of transferring of saw frame axis onto rails level. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg
