ON-LINE MONITORING OF SUB-CRITICAL MULTIPLICATION CALCULATION IN NUCLEAR REACTOR

PURPOSE: An on-line monitoring method of a sub-critical multiplication calculation in a nuclear reactor is provided to reduce the fuel loading time by immediately deciding the satisfactory condition of a continuous charge condition of the fuel. CONSTITUTION: A hardware module of a sub-critical multiplication calculation device is composed of a controller(1), a digitizer, an alarm lamp(2), and a communications module(3). A PXI type chassis(33) is composed of a count module(4), a controller, a scope(5), and power supply(6). A neutron pulse signal is digitized from an excore detector before the fuel charge process. A neutron count value is obtained before charging fuel. The neutron count rate is drawn by a weighted moving average. The neutron count value is obtained by digitizing the neutron pulse signal after the fuel charge process. The neutron count rate is drawn by the weighted moving average. The neutron count rate less than a limit value is determined.
