FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to installations for tempering profile running rails of various, if necessary, shape of cross section and length over 50 m by means of cooling at least one part of corresponding cross section of rail along whole length of rail in cooling medium. The installation consists of facility for cross travel (21) in zone of roller bed (2), of straightening facility, of manipulating clamp (3) for transfer of rail, of one positioning facility (4) with one tank or bath with cooling medium and of a refrigerator. Also manipulating clamp (3) has claws with gripping arms, each made with centring components for axial levelling a head of the rail along length and with gripping components for holding a heel of the rail and for its accurate fixation in positioning facility (4). Positioning facility (4) consists of holding components with supports, split clamping components for fixation of heel of the suspended rail in axial direction without a skew, and /or two tanks (5); the tanks are axially parallel to positioning facilities (4) and are located next to each other at similar height in horizontal direction. Depth of cooling medium in tank (5) is bigger, than height of the biggest profile of the rail at 10 %; and/or tank (5), supports and split clamping facilities of all components of positioning facility (4) are designed to simultaneous controlled vertical travel relative to each other; holding capacity and duration of the corresponding vertical position can be controlled. ^ EFFECT: facilitating high throughput performance of facility and upgraded quality of rails. ^ 11 cl, 4 dwg |
