METHOD OF MANUFACTURING GELATIN COATED MAGNETIC IRON OXIDE NANO PARTICLES

PURPOSE: A method for preparing gelatin-coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles through a simple process is provided to secure a large amount of the gelatin coated on the IOP for use in producing GIOP as a thermoseed. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing gelatin-coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles through a simple process comprises the following steps of: dispersing magnetite nanoparticles(IOP) in a gelatin solution; aging them in the conditions of 27~37°C and pH 4~8 for 22~26 hours in order to obtain a colloidal dispersion solution; and collecting the gelatin-coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles dispersed in the colloidal dispersion solution using a magnet.
