<p>The device (1) has an infrared control signal receiving unit (5) for receiving infrared control signals from an infrared remote control (7) that transmits the control signals to an apparatus (9) i.e. TV. A function controlling unit (8) controls functions of an apparatus (3) i.e. DVD player, based on the received control signals. An inhibition unit (11) inhibits a reception of the control signals from the remote control by the apparatus (9). The inhibition unit comprises an infrared emission source (15) for saturating an infrared reception unit (13) of the apparatus (9).</p> |
