PURPOSE: A vacuum cleaner is provided to increase the amount of foreign materials be stored by reducing the volume of the foreign materials by compressing the foreign materials with dust compression structure. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes a main body, a driving motor, a dust collecting unit, and a sensor. The main body includes a mounting part. The driving motor(200) is equipped on the main body. The dust collecting unit(100) includes a dust collecting main body and a pressurization member. The dust collecting main body is equipped on the mounting part attachably. A dust storing part is formed on the dust collecting main body. The pressurization member decreases the volume of the dust, and equipped on the dust storing part. The sensor is provided to a side of the dust collecting unit.
