PURPOSE: An electric double layer capacitor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve adhesion between a cap and a case by pressing the gasket with one side of the case by forming a notch in a side of the case after clamping. CONSTITUTION: A cap(4a) is inserted into a case(4b). A gasket(7) is coked and sealed between the cap and the case. An electric double layer capacitor has a notch(11) formed in a side of the case. The notch is positioned between portions(41a) formed by bending the cap. |
