Subject: anti-skid tread band 2 adaptable to tyres 1 for improved adhesion to icy and/or snowed road surface.Constitution: a two-face tread band 2 comprising one surface 4 coated with metal shavings offering improved adhesion to icy or snowed road surface, and a second surface 5 bearing a waterproof glue assisting the application of the band 2 to the tyre 1. The width of the band 2 is equal or inferior to the width of the tyre tread 1 while its length is inferior to the length of the tyre perimeter. For complete covering of the tyre tread, there is proposed a set of three spaced apart bands 2 covering the whole perimeter of the tyre; the interval space left between bands facilitates the removal of these last after use. |
