<p>PURPOSE: A method of performing a handover procedure is provided to perform a handover procedure rapidly even not only when a wireless environment is not in a good state but also when a channel parameter is changed during a handover procedure or the distribution of a base station for a load balancing is required. CONSTITUTION: A method of performing a handover procedure comprises the steps of: receiving a handover command message from a source base station(S320); transmitting a random access preamble to a target base station that the handover command message indicates(S330); and receiving a random access response message(S350), wherein a random access response message includes type information that indicates whether or not the handover is failed in responding to a random access preamble.</p> |
