PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing oxynitride phosphor using a firing apparatus of oxynitride phosphor is provided to prepare oxynitride powder suitable for white LED using a blue LED or ultraviolet-ray LED as a light source. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing oxynitride phosphor using a firing apparatus of oxynitride phosphor comprises the steps of: mixing at least one or a mixture of two kinds or more selected from the group consisting of silicon nitride(Si3N4), aluminum nitride(AlN), gallium nitride(GaN) and boron nitride(BN) to prepare a nitride pellet sintered body; preparing for a burning apparatus and positioning the prepared nitride pellet sintered body at the lower part of a second crucible; mixing silicon nitride, aluminum nitride, M1-containing compound, M2-containing compound, and optionally silicon oxide and aluminum oxide; charging the mixed powder in the nitride pellet sintered body; reducing and heating the burning apparatus filled with the mixed powder; and pulverizing the powder obtained after heat treatment.
