The invention relates to a bevel wheel differential for motor vehicles. Said bevel wheel differential comprises a compensating housing (18) which is rotationally mounted in a housing and wherein axle bevel wheels (26, 28) and compensating bevel wheels (24) are mounted such that they are in contact with each other. The compensating housing comprises two parts which are connected by means of a ring-shaped flange (18c) and is screwed together with a driving crown gear (22). A homokinetic joint (34) for the output of the differential is integrated on a drive shaft (36) in a cylindrical section of the axle bevel wheel of at least one axle bevel wheel. The aim of the invention is to produce a construction which is easy to mount and which is economical to produce and construct. The homokinetic joint is a displaceable joint which can be at least partially mounted and/or dismounted without dismounting the differential.
