PURPOSE: A system for acquiring the location-estimated information of a terminal within a specific area and a method thereof are provided to offer a service seasoned with reality through association with the on-line game or chatting service. CONSTITUTION: A system for acquiring the location-estimated information of a terminal comprises a client(10), a location server(20) and relay stations(30,50). The client transmits a location request message including local information for showing a specific area. The location server requests identification information of one or more target terminals(70,80) located within a specific area by referring to local information within the received location request message, and then obtains location-estimated information of the terminals by referring to the identification information received as a response to the request.
