<p>Rapid simultaneous transfer of filter papers impregnated with radio isotope tracers for chemical, biological or clinical research by Mans/Novelli method is achieved by laying the papers into orthogonally placed recesses in a base board with corner guide pillars over which the guide holes in a transfer board are slid. The transfer board has a number of needles which correspond with the centres of the recesses and the test tubes for use in the scintillation test are placed in a nesting box, again in a corresponding pattern, and mounted on a base plate with spring loaded corner guide pillars. The needles have a shaped boss to assist the papers into the test tubes. By handling up to 50 samples at once, there is a skilled staff economy.</p> |
