<p>Furnace for the melting etc., of scrap, ores and concentrates as in DT 1,963,430, consisting of an inlet shute, a feed channel, through which the material to be melted is passed, prior to entering the melting chamber, and comprising hot gas generators, which pass the gas counter current wise to the metal flow through the furnace, contains a modified, axially rotatable feed channel, with passages in its walls for the preheating of the air for the hot gas generators. The rotation of the channel causes improved preheating of the charge.</p> |
